The County Administrator works under the jurisdiction or policy control of the County Board. Work includes implementing and evaluating the implementation of board policy. This includes presenting policies and programs for consideration by the County Board.
Specific operating responsibilities include: Carroll County Board meeting Preparation, implementation of the county's annual operating and capital budgets; administering personnel and purchasing/spending policies. Collaborating with county departments, offices and other agencies to promote a high level of interdepartmental cooperation and consistency of procedures and operations.
