Robert Jachnicki, 59, is the Carroll County Administrator in Mount Carroll, Ill.
Before being named the Carroll County Administrator in April 2024, Bob served as the Chief Financial Officer for the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) in Des Plaines, Ill., a non-profit social welfare membership organization for more than 26 years. As the organization’s senior financial executive, he was responsible for all financial policies and strategies, investments, its long-term strategic and operational planning, and led the creation of two non-profit spinoffs that provided services to the insurance industry and its stakeholders. While there, he worked closely with the organization’s Board of Governors on all fiduciary matters, budgeting, and investment reporting.
Prior to the NICB, he was the Vice President of Finance for a hotel and office management company, and a business brokerage firm in Schaumburg, Ill.
Bob earned his BA, MBA and MSA from Dominican University (formerly Rosary College) in River Forest, Ill.
A Chicago native, Bob resides in Schaumburg and Mount Carroll, and is married with four adult children and two grandchildren.
